Jovial Motion is an official Limited Liability Corporation and holds active State and city business licenses. Jovial Motion carries important insurance policies to protect our dance spaces and patrons, and pays for music licensing from ASCAP, BMI & SESAC to play music legally. Following these legal policies and protocols for teaching dance is one key piece of what helps set Jovial Motion apart from many others. Make sure any dance instruction business or private dance instructor you choose has insurance, music rights, and business licensing, as well as experience teaching their craft.

Instructor Experience

Kelsey Celeste, owner and instructor of Jovial Motion, has been a partner & line dance instructor for 10 years. She has been dancing these styles of social dance, and others, for over two decades. She is known in the area as a positive and energetic dancer and instructor. Her experience includes regular instruction at local bars & halls, coaching a line dance team for a popular local radio station, and teaching at private events such as birthdays and corporate team-building events. In order to present the best information to dance patrons, Kelsey participates in continuing education including instructor training and dance conventions to remain educated about safety, proper technique, and trending dances.

Why the Name?

Jovial Motion is another way to say cheerful movement. Kelsey Celeste, owner of Jovial Motion, is someone who loves to be expressive, silly, and get others to have fun while dancing. She has been told many times that she shows genuine joy & cheer when dancing and that it spreads to others, too. Social dancing a time to connect with others, but also a time to express yourself, feel a bit jolly, and stay moving in whatever way possible.

Because Kelsey has experienced a chronic pain disability for over a decade, she knows the importance of moving her body to keep mobility. This helps her understand the needs & desires of many to find variations in dance combinations to make dances feel good to each body.*
